Operator manual

Operator overview

Understand Operator's on-device tools, approvals, company memory, routines and signed audit trail.

What Operator is

Operator is an AI operator appliance for your own hardware. You hand it plain-language work in chat; it executes with governed tools (files, HTTP, running Tester, email triage), keeps company memory on-device, runs scheduled routines and records every step in a tamper-evident signed audit trail.

The governance model

  • Approvals: destructive tool calls stop and wait for a human yes.
  • Signed audit: every tool call, approval and consent lands in a hash-chained, HMAC-signed log your compliance team can verify.
  • Sovereign by default: local models on the appliance; a stronger cloud model is used only after explicit, recorded consent.
